Morgan Lyle is the author of Simple flies: 52 Easy-To-Tie Patterns that Catch Fish (Stackpole Books, 2015) and writes the On The Fly column for the New York Outdoor News. His work has appeared in The Drake, American Angler, Fly Tyer, Trout, Angling Trade and other magazines. A native of Kingston, N.Y., he cast his first fly on Esopus Creek, and that’s still his favorite place to fish.
