Fishing License & Permit Information

On July 1, 2020, DEC announced the launch of the State's new system for the sale of fishing, hunting, and trapping licenses. The new DECAutomated Licensing System (DECALS) includes user-friendly information to help users locate vendors, receive instant copies of a license, enter and view harvest information, and more. Anglers can still get a license quickly and easily by calling 1-866-933-2257 or going online at https://decals.licensing.east.kalkomey.com.

Fishing in the New York City Watershed also requires a permit from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).  This permit is free and can be obtained at:
