MHTU Trip

Trout Fishing in the Catskills with Mid Hudson Chapter of Trout Unlimited  (MHTU)May 17, 18, 19  - Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, Livingston Manor, NY https://cffcm.com/

The Livingston Manor/Beaverkill Valley area of the Catskills is the cradle of Fly Fishing in America. The history, tradition, culture, and artifacts of fly fishing are all here at the Catksill Fly Fishing Center and Museum.  And in its surrounding waters is some of the finest trout fishing in the Eastern USA.

Mid Hudson Trout Unlimited's annual outing to the Catskills will take place May 17, 18, and 19.  As in past years, we will stay at the museum bunkhouses.  The bunkhouses are situated on the museum property and are the perfect base camp from which to explore and fish the fabled area waters -- WIllowemoc Creek, which runs through the property, Beaverkill River, and the East and West branches of the Delaware River.

This is a great opportunity to meet up with MHTU members and enjoy a weekend of fun, camaraderie, and fishing.

Here’s how the weekend will shake out:

  • Two nights at the bunkhouses located on the museum property

  • Friday evening May 17 – Chapter gathering and dinner (We'll cover your dinner -- drinks are out of your pocket)

  • Saturday morning May 18-  Light breakfast fare – bagels, danish, coffee

  • Saturday – all day fishing – do your own thing  or “buddy up” to fish The  Beaverkill, WIllowemoc, or Delaware River

  • Saturday lunch is on your own

  • Saturday night – Bonfire at the bunkhouse, and light supper of sandwiches and chips.  Socializing, and fish tales!

  • All inclusive cost is $40 per person
